Nightlife on the Amalfi Coast tends to gravitate around the glamorous seaside town of Positano. The Amalfi Coast's most famous night club is located in Praiano. Created inside a natural cave, almost at sea level, AFRICANA first opened in 1962.

After having been closed for a number of years, the discotheque where The Platters once performed, has recently reopened and, although the music and the clientele have changed, the magical atmosphere is the same.
