Overlooking the street of the same name ( via san Gregorio Armeno) in the historic centre of Naples , the Church of San Gregorio Armeno is among the most important places of worship. the interior bursts with lavish decorations and artwork. The majestic, coffered ceiling by Dutch artist Teodoro d’Errico is the most striking element . In addition to housing the relics of St. Gregory Armeno, it also houses the body of Santa Patrizia , protector of the city along with St. Gennaro, making the church a famous pilgrimage destination. The miraculous liquefaction of a vial of her blood, takes places every week at the site where her relics are entombed. The church of San Gregorio Armeno is the greatest architectural example of " Roccoco Napoletano "
