The Thinking Tree

The Thinking Tree  — a natural wonder nestled in Ginosa, Puglia, Italy — is an ancient olive tree that has captivated locals and visitors alike for generations.

Often called “The Thinking Tree” because of the human-like face that appears to be carved into its gnarled trunk.

Believed to be at least 1,500 years old, and possibly even up to 4,000 years old according to some studies, the tree still produces olives.

This tree truly stands as a silent witness to centuries of history.
