📖 The Artwork: A life-sized marble sculpture of Christ covered by a seemingly transparent shroud. The folds and the facial features beneath the delicate weave of the fabric are entirely carved from a single block of marble. 

🤍 Who it represents: Jesus Christ just after the crucifixion. 

📜 The Prince's Message: Beyond traditional religion, the veil represents the "veil of ignorance". Christ’s suffering is an allegory for the difficult path to truth, while the diaphanous veil symbolizes the ultimate revelation of the divine and the victory of light over darkness for the initiated. 

🔮 The Legend: The marble veil is so unbelievably realistic that for centuries Neapolitans believed the Prince used a secret alchemical liquid to petrify a real cloth. 🌹 Modesty (La Pudicizia) 👤 Artist: Antonio Corradini (1752) 

📖 The Artwork: A stunning sculpture of a woman completely enveloped in a gossamer veil that clings to her body, standing next to a broken tombstone. 

🤍 Who it represents: Cecilia Gaetani, the Prince's mother, who died when Raimondo was less than a year old. 

📜 The Prince's Message: The broken plaque symbolizes her premature death. Esoterically, the veiled woman represents the Egyptian Goddess Isis and the Masonic concept of "veiled truth"—a supreme wisdom that is hidden from the masses and can only be understood by enlightened minds. 

🔮 The Legend: Corradini was a master of the "veiled" technique, but he died before finishing the chapel's works. People whisper that the Prince used his dark arts to guide the hands of the remaining artists to finish the chapel with the same ethereal perfection.

🕸️ Release from Deception (Il Disinganno) 

👤 Artist: Francesco Queirolo (1753-1754) 

📖 The Artwork: A man furiously struggling to break free from a thick, tangled net, aided by a winged spirit. The entire net is carved from the very same piece of marble as the figure. 

🤍 Who it represents: Antonio di Sangro, the Prince's father, who lived a life of vice and travel before finally repenting and becoming a priest. 

📜 The Prince's Message: The intricate net represents the traps of earthly sins and ignorance. The winged spirit helping the man is human intellect and reason, showing that only knowledge and enlightenment can free humanity from the darkness of deception. 

🔮 The Legend: The marble rope of the net is so delicate and complex that the local artisans refused to polish it with pumice stone, terrified it would shatter in their hands. Queirolo had to spend years polishing every single knot entirely by himself!

💖 Sincerity (La Sincerità) 

👤 Artist: Francesco Queirolo (1754-1755) 

📖 The Artwork: A beautiful woman wrapped in elegant drapery, holding a heart in her left hand and a caduceus (a winged staff with intertwined snakes) in her right. 

🤍 Who it represents: Carlotta Gaetani, the Prince's beloved wife. 

📜 The Prince's Message: The statue symbolizes unconditional love, purity of soul, and healing. It is a tribute to a loyal life partner and the Masonic virtue of pure, uncorrupted truth that guides a righteous life. 

🔮 The Legend: Look closely at the incredibly smooth marble heart she holds. It is said to reflect the light in such an unnatural, glowing way that the Prince must have invented a special chemical polish specifically for this statue.

🌀 The Labyrinth Floor (Il Pavimento Labirintico) 

👤 Artist: Francesco Celebrano (1760-1766) 

📖 The Artwork: An intricate marble floor inlay consisting of a continuous line of interlocking swastikas and concentric squares. 

🤍 Who it represents: The spiritual journey of every human being. 

📜 The Prince's Message: The continuous line without beginning or end represents the arduous, tortuous path the initiate must walk to find enlightenment. It is the labyrinth of life: a challenging journey to escape ignorance and find inner balance. 

🔮 The Legend: The Prince created the floor using a secret process to inlay colored marble. Sadly, much of it was destroyed by a cave-in in 1889, and the secret of how he seamlessly fused those specific stones together was lost forever with him.

🔮 The Legend: The most terrifying legend of Naples claims the Prince injected a mysterious metallizing potion into the bloodstreams of his living servants, freezing their veins forever.
